ONLY ONE YEAR
You cannot fix an eight year
drought
with one heavy rain
and you give the president
one year before you
started the drama
to get rid of Obama
O, america, some of you
canīt stand
to see a black man win
even when he is on your side
Obama has just had enough
time in the white house
to smell the aroma
and you cry get rid of Obama
Your congress and the people
you represent
have given other presidents
two or more years
to do their do
yet president Obama
gets one year
and he is through ?
The republicans have never
liked Obama
and have pledged
among themselves to destroy him
The only word they know is Nay
if the president say the sky
is blue, and it is
the republicans still say itīs red
Some democrats, no better
they pretend
to be friend and believe
in him, only to forsake him.
Some public goes
wherever the negative
tide takes them
The polls say whites
are abandoning him like locust
a dead field.
You only give the president
one year before you
started the drama
to get rid of Obama
not caring whether his policy is
good or bad
You the public follow
even a silly ass republican
like Pat Robinson,
of the 700 Club
who blamed the earthquake
in Haiti on a deal
the Haitian people
made with the devil
to be free of slavery.
We all know why
that republican in mass.
won the late Edward
Kennedyīs senate seat.
Because they donīt want
the president to have
one year before
they start the drama
to get rid of Obama
The economy was already
over the cliff
dropping into the abyss
of disharmony
long before Obama
and you cannot fix
an eight year drought
with one heavy rain.
I donīt know if there
will ever be a clean
white house
but america you had
the chance to get rid
of some of the dirt, stink and greed
Instead youīve choosen
to chastise Obama
after only one year
you start the drama
