Monthly Letter 12, 2006

Greetings to all of you my Peace Gang sisters and brothers and all the people that believe in realness, peace, love, creativity, being there for others, as well as self and walking in your own shoes. May winter or summer or whatever season it is, on whatever part of the planet you are - may the time be gentle and yet packed with growth. Here I am busy reading many books - many good books and I am getting a little sweetly crazy because before I finish or even start a book another one comes into my world actually right now I am reading or have started about seven books. I must make myself read only two or three at the time before partaking of another one. Still there have been no lockdown for awhile. Well, no general population lockdown. The Crips Gang are on lockdown right now because the anniversary of the state putting Tookie Williams to death is not that for off. For awhile now each morning after my workout - my little stupid routine, I listen to classical music radio station. I have always liked classical music although I have not until now listen to a lot of it. I have also been on a Jazz kick lately too - listening to Miles Davis. I think both kinds of music lends some freedom to me and my playing the native flute. I feel the music in my body, soul and heart which are one and everywhere. Anyway, it gives me more feathers to my wings to fly away and drift in the sky of realness, love and creativity. Still busy working on project with my mentor, and I have to now write about 250 word summaries for each of my chapters. I'll speak on the other projects later.

PRISON DAY
I am back to jogging as a part of my workout after having to take a couple of weeks off. I pulled a muscle in my leg racing another prisoner. We were running one lap around the track and I made my move to overtake the other runner when I felt the pull. Because I listened to my body and stopped running immediately, my leg is all better now and I ran today. I stopped trying to be the peacock as my Leo Buddy would say. It was cold today but no rain yet. I tried to call Sweden again, however, the MCI American Phone Company who already robs millions of dollars from prisoners and their tax paying families and friends by overcharging ten times the normal rate for phone calls. MCI decided to pretend to connect me to Swedish operator in Sweden. Then they had some recording come on in plain unaccented english to tell me I must hang up and dial again - that I had not dialed the number correctly. I checked the number three or four times and it was correct. When I call Switzerland I can get through to my Leo Buddy only because of complaints directly to the crooks at MCI. There need to be some kind of action taken against MCI and any other company in bed with the crooked company. Ordinary people can be put in jail for robbery. Why not MCI and other companies that rob people. MCI is no different that ENRON Company that was brought down and company heads arrested.

WRITING STUFF
Both writing groups are going well. One group, the focus in mainly poetry, and the other group is prose. I hope to develop a poetry anthology and a prose essay collection. I am looking for advice and perhaps sponsorship from university or colleges or any person or organizations willing to work with me on the two projects. So, if anyone is interested please contact me. My classes are meeting regularly now and still there have been no lockdowns. Still working on book with my mentor and a couple of article projects I am working on plus a fiction book. I have a poem coming out in The Progressive Magazine, my time is filled with writing projects. However, I am still looking for someone to work with my on my stage plays. In our book club we are still reading "The source" by James A. Michener. A good book but long and starts off slow with a lot of details.

BIRD STUFF
Reborn Sara, my plant friend and other plants are doing fine. When I can, I talk with them and serenade them with the flute and perhaps the leafs feel the warmth of my heart and spirit as I share breath with them. No geese around for the last couple of days. There was one pair around that came each morning to the big yard. It has been frosty the lat few days and perhaps the cold icy grass has been to cold for even the geese to forage in. There were a lot of seagulls on the big yard before it opened to people. Nothing, heat or cold seems to bother the seagulls. The little crow like birds and pigeons have been coming around to the art room where I still sit outside and give them snack.

STAY REAL SECTION
Realness people I hope you are still flowing and doing your realness thing. We must keep things flowing creating a world aware of each others hearts and souls. Speaking of realness I hope Louise who is a Peace G. and friend will start writing a section in this newsletter for your people. I think I speak to everyone in this newsletter but Louise has the skills and power to share a more enriching light on the issues of youth.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
Still working on book projects and still looking for topics to speak on in this newsletter. Newsletter I hope to keep deep and real...to keep touching, holding, loving and freeing hearts, minds and souls. I believe we will enrich each other by being who we are and walking in our own shoes! Peace G. love to all Peace G. and to everyone! Happy holiday seasons!
